Select private cottages at Meander are thoughtfully designated to welcome dogs, allowing guests to enjoy the estate without leaving their companions behind. With expansive grounds, shaded garden paths, and peaceful country lanes, the property provides a naturally beautiful setting for morning walks, golden-hour strolls, and moments of quiet companionship.

While pets are welcomed throughout the estate’s outdoor spaces, the historic Manor House suites and indoor dining areas remain reserved for guests to preserve the tranquility and heritage of these spaces.

A Warm Welcome for Our Four-Legged Guests

Dogs arriving at Meander are greeted as Very Important Paws, with thoughtful touches designed to make their stay as comfortable as yours. From welcoming outdoor spaces to peaceful cottage accommodations, Meander provides a setting where guests and their companions can relax into the slower rhythms of the Virginia countryside.

Pet Hospitality Fee

A $50 per stay (per pet) hospitality fee applies to pet-friendly accommodations. This fee supports the additional care and meticulous preparation required to ensure each cottage is returned to the same pristine standard our guests expect.

We are also happy to consider cats upon request, though we kindly ask that exotic or non-domestic animals remain at home.
