Breakfast & Brunch at Meander

At Meander, mornings are meant to be unhurried—coffee in hand, the Blue Ridge in view, and a table set with the flavors of the season. 

Guests staying with us Monday through Thursday are invited to enjoy our complimentary Estate Breakfast, a relaxed European-style breakfast featuring fresh seasonal fruit, Greek yogurt and granola, hard-boiled eggs, breads and pastries, Virginia meats and cheeses, heirloom tomatoes, and a selection of coffee, tea, juice, and water. It is a simple, thoughtful start to a day of exploring the Estate, the countryside, or the nearby Blue Ridge. 

From Friday through Sunday, the kitchen shifts into one of Meander’s most popular traditions: Brunch at Harvest & Hearth. Our weekend brunch menu offers a more robust, chef-driven experience with seasonal favorites, comforting classics, and a selection of beverages to make the morning feel like an occasion. 

Weekend brunch is not included in the room rate; however, it is featured as part of many of our popular Stay & Dine Packages, creating an easy and memorable way to enjoy a complete Meander getaway. 

Whether you are joining us for a quiet weekday escape or a lingering weekend stay, breakfast and brunch at Meander are designed to be part of the experience—not simply the meal before the day begins.

The Meander Table Experience is an intimate, chef-led tasting menu created for lingering over exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, and the quiet beauty of the Virginia Piedmont. 

Each evening follows a four-course journey in addition to small expression of the season from the Chef that makes each evening feel distinctly Meander: 

Garden 
A vibrant opening course inspired by the Estate gardens, local farms, and the changing harvest. 

Hearth 
A warm, inviting course shaped by the kitchen’s fire, stockpot, oven, and seasonal pantry. 

Land or Sea 
A thoughtfully prepared entrée featuring the best available regional meat, poultry, or seafood, paired with seasonal accompaniments. 

Something Sweet 
A memorable finish—sometimes familiar, sometimes unexpected, always designed to leave the table on a high note. 

Guests may also choose to enhance the evening with an optional Wine Pairing Experience. Curated to complement each course, the pairing features four expressive wines selected to highlight the character, texture, and story of the food, with a thoughtful mix of Virginia producers and distinctive wines from around the world.
